So apparently there’s a family of “psychedelic plants” that were used during the Middle Ages in religious/social/magic ceremonies called the Nightshade family. First of all, awesome name— more importantly I think I finally understand the reasoning behind naming a Ghost-type Pokemon move Nightshade as well.

I don’t think you guys understand, that (until today) used to bother the crap out of me since Red/Blue/Yellow days. I never understood the point, but now *ah* I am ever so enlightened.
